Jul 02, 2018  A solo Mag Sorc build for PVE. This is what I use to solo bosses and dungeons when I need to farm a new piece of gear or item set. Dungeon bosses and mini bosses will now drop a set piece 100% of the time. Mini bosses will drop either a hand, waist, or feet set piece. Bosses will drop either a chest, shoulder, head or leg set piece. The final Boss of a dungeon will drop weapons or jewelry. Normal mode dungeon. Most players new to the Veteran Ranks don’t realize it’s pretty easy to create a character build that can compete with the absolute best builds with the best possible items. Below we have put together gear sets that new Veteran Rank ESO players can quickly pick up and start doing end game content with.

Objectives For Starting Gear Builds:

1. Compete with the best geared end game ESO players
2. Be Able To Do Veteran Dragonstar Arena, Craglorn Trials, and stomp Veteran Dungeons while farming undaunted daily pledges
3. Craft this gear without needing 8+ traits researched or without the need to spend tons of gold on items

Note: Some of these items you can purchase from other players using Guild Traders for very low prices, I normally use the Guild Traders located in Reaper’s March by the Rawl’kha Wayshrine.

Tanking Gear:

• 5 Piece of Hist Bark (Crafted Set That Requires 4 Traits Researched)
• 2 Piece of Whitestrake’s Retribution (Crafted Set That Requires 4 Traits Researched)
• Armor Types: 5 Heavy, 1 Light, 1 Medium – For the Undaunted Skill Line Passive “Undaunted Mettle” which will give you 6% more Health, Stamina, and Magicka. If you don’t have “Undaunted Mettle” yet then go with 7 Heavy
• 5 Piece Unassailable – (Drops In Craglorn or you can purchase from Guild Traders For 200g-300g each)
  • 2 Rings, Neck and 2 other slots.
  • Replace Enchants on jewelry with reduced cost of Blocking

New Eso Dungeons

Stamina DPS Gear:

• 5 Piece of Hundings Rage (Crafted Set That Requires 6 Traits Researched)
• 3 Piece Ashen Grip (Crafted Set That Requires 2 Traits Researched)
  Weapon Damage is the best stat for Stamina Based DPS Builds and set bonuses are the best source for Health right now.
• Jewelry: Buy Rings and a Neck with max stamina trait and weapon damage enchants from a Guild Trader. *You can replace the enchants on jewelry if you can’t find ones with weapon damage already on them*
• Armor Types: All Medium Armor for full set passive from the Medium Armor Skill Line.

Magicka DPS Gear:

• 5 Piece of Martial Knowledge (Drops From VR 11-13 Enemies In Craglorn and from Bosses in normal dungeons) You can buy VR 11 pieces for 200-300g each or VR12 for 1,000g each from Guild Traders
• 3 Piece Torug’s Pact (Crafted Set That Requires 3 Traits Researched) Spell Damage is the most important stat for Magicka DPS builds and Set bonuses are the best source for Health right now
• Jewlery: If you can’t get some cheap low VR Warlock Set Jewlery then buy Rings and a Neck with max magicka trait and spell dmg enchants from a Guild Trader. *You can replace the enchants on jewelry if you can’t find ones with spell damage already on them*
• Armor Types: 5 Light, 1 Heavy, 1 Medium (For the Undaunted Skill Line Passive “Undaunted Mettle” which will give you 6% more Health, Stamina, and Magicka. If you don’t have “Undaunted Mettle” yet then go with 7 Light)

Healing Gear:

• 5 Piece of Warlock Set (Drops From VR 1-12 Enemies and from Bosses in normal dungeons)
  • 2 Rings, Neck and 2 other slots.
  • You can also try to buy low Vet Rank pieces from Guild Traders but they can sometimes be hard to find for reasonable prices.
  • Even VR1 pieces are better than anything else you can craft even at Veteran Rank 14, you just really want that 5 piece set bonus even if you have to use VR1 pieces.
• 5 Piece of Magnus’ Gift (Crafted Set That Requires 4 Traits Researched)
  • Magnus’s Gift is just a really solid set for any caster until you can replace it with end game gear.
• Armor Types: 5 Light, 1 Heavy, 1 Medium (For the Undaunted Skill Line Passive “Undaunted Mettle” which will give you 6% more Health, Stamina, and Magicka. If you don’t have “Undaunted Mettle” yet then go with 7 Light)
